There she is forced to go to school due to her age, and finds herself in an uncomfortable situation, given she is the only one who is blind. Her witchcraft has given her the ability to observe all that lives and therefore sees in her own way. She encounters an interesting being, Rudi, who struggles to live a life where boys and girls just got allowed to sit in class together, and where all girls are still expected to wear long skirts. Rudi comes from a family of "Therians", claiming that each member possesses the soul of a wolf. Curious as it is, they wear tails to school, over their long trousers or skirts. Terrin finds that the only real dual soul of the family is Rudi, however. Both are yet to discover their family's secrets, the state's decisions that they urgently need to put a stop to, and their blooming feelings for one another.
