In the eternal realm of Arshael, God created two twin angels from flower petals: Sakura Mizuki, born from a pure cherry blossom, and Kuro Himeri, born from a black rose symbolizing longing and darkness. They were destined to love humans, but through different paths: Sakura could only unite with a pure, loving soul, while Kuro was destined for a sinful human who still longed for light.
Fate brought Sakura down to the human world, specifically to Sidoarjo, where she met Adit, a young scavenger who lived a simple life but harbored a sincere heart. For Sakura, Adit was the soul she had long seen from heaven. But their love was not easy: Sakura had to hide her true identity as an angel while guiding Adit to keep him from losing hope.
Meanwhile, envy and a sense of injustice drove Kuro from heaven. God tasked him with protecting Sakura and-even more difficult-learning to love a fellow human, Adit. Trapped between anger, regret, and a vague love, Kuro chooses to walk away to understand what it means to be human: he tries to live as a scavenger, works hard, and finds his worth through struggles in the mortal world.
On earth, the destinies of these three souls slowly intertwine: pure love, envy seeking redemption, and a human heart forced to choose. The Flowers behind the Maidens is a story of love, sacrifice, and self-discovery-between two twin nymphs bound by fate, and a simple young man who becomes the center of their world.
