Bipolar disorder, sometimes known as manic depression, is a mental illness characterized by severe mood swings without specific triggers. Those affected by bipolar disorder generally go through manic and depressive episodes, the former characterized by heightened mood, increased energy levels, trouble sleeping, and reckless behavior, and the latter characterized by feelings of depression or emptiness, lack of energy, and over- or under-sleeping.

"You are a narcassistic sociopath!" I hurled a knee towards his lower stomach. Before my next thought, he shoved my knee back, grabbed my arms and slammed me against the metal door. "Oh, kitten. I'm neither of those things. A narcassist is a commoner," he nodded towards Curly. "A sociopath is made," he didn't need to indicate this time, I already had a hunch. often, i'm not drawn to writing until it feels i have nothing left. as of now, i'm not even completely sure if these words, my words, are for me, or for anyone who might need to know someone feels the same. some of the entries i publish may be poems, and others may be short unfinished stories of characters i've dreamed up and never fully composed. enjoy.

We- who fight mental illness, want to help the cause, want to understand, have beaten mental illness- are all connected. We can break down the stigma, and inform the world that this is something out of your control, something you suffer from like any other illness.
