Distractions have always gotten the best of Marinette. One day a distraction leads to her plummeting to her death off of a building, but luckily a certain cat stops her free fall. This single action sets off a chain of events, each one worse than the last. Paris assumes Chat Noir has a new girlfriend, Chat assumes she jumped on purpose. Hawkmoth assumes he found Chat's weakness. One lie after another is spilled forth, leading Marinette to become Hawkmoth's new favorite target, but what happens when Marinette gets pushed too far? How will Paris react to learning Hawkmoth's identity? How will Adrien react? Mostly fluff, vague hints of sin. All characters are 18+ I do not own the rights to these characters, just this story. When everyone turns 17, they get a set of initials or an initial somewhere on their body that links them to their soulmate - the person who is their other half. Marinette was incredibly excited for her seventeenth birthday. She was hoping her mark would link her to Adrien. When she saw her mark, she was shocked. full verion of my first ever story!

hey y'all, i'm going to be updating this story on Ao3 from now on. Mostly one shots about the love hexagon(Marinette, Adrien, Ladybug, Chat Noir, Luka, and Kagami). Sometimes they'll be about AUs I've thought about or headcanons for future episodes. I am literally incapable of not writing angst, angst flows in veins and into my brain, I eat, breathe and sleep in angst, angst is all I know. Btw! Chapters are organized from newest to oldest, just a warning!

Paris is unraveling, and no one knows why. Marinette just wants to survive high school without outing herself as a superhero.
