Marie Grayson, even cited by Nolan has been stated to be suspiciously stronger than other Viltrumite's. Whereas other Viltrumite's get stronger with age, all Marie has to is soak up the sun. (In case you're missing it. Marie is basically a Kryptonian). Attacks that had hurt her before no longer have an effect. Attacks from other Viltrumite's that previously would've left her half dead, no longer work. Something happened with her Smart Atoms. They operated differently. Why make her like an average Viltrumite when it can make her more. Why make her stronger with age when she can just soak up the sun. Marie's atoms basically went into overdrive, making Marie into the perfect warrior. However, when the Viltrumites invaded. When her father came back with more reinforcements. Everything fell apart. Marie could effortlessly dispatch any Viltrumite that came for her. Including the heavy hitters like Lucan and Anissa. Then came along Thragg. Marie's punches were hurting him. HIM. At first he was angry, but then he was ecstatic. Marie could give birth to a whole new generation of Viltrumites. With her DNA, they would be unstoppable. They decimated the planet. Marie is only one person. They had killed the Guardians, Eve, Rex, Robot. Marie lost everything, so she stopped holding back. Eyes glowing a brilliant gold as she killed every Viltrumite in front her. Thragg's severed head in her hand. Marie fled the planet. Flying straight towards the sun.
