Eve and Ellie, two young girls who met in the very beginning of their middle school years when Ellie moved to the small town. Now, they were both closer to graduating than starting high school. They were known for being the best of friends, practically always together. And even being maybe, just maybe, a little too close - too close for just friends.
Sweet innocent Evelyn Wells, she was the preacher's daughter in a family of five with two older sisters. She came from a family of strict rules and schedules. She was naive, definitely, but slowly corrupted by the ways of life, slowly learning as she jumps her way through new obstacles. It's typical of her to keep to herself but she's not all that shy, especially when you know everyone in a small town.
Ellie Johnson came from a family of, well...many things. She grew up in the city with her parents but that only lasted a short while. Her mother and father divorced when she was three and she was permanently in her mother's care. They moved around quite frequently until they found a rural Mississippi town that they settled in - Ellie, her mother, and her step dad, John, whom her mother met there. From there, she found her best friends, Eve, and they connected like no other. Ellie plays for their Christian schools girls basketball team and is more of a social butterfly.
Now, it is up to these two teenage girls to manage their feelings in a small, conservative town with eyes constantly peering.
