Being alone together for 3 years changes people, brings them closer together. What will happen to that bond when another world-threatening situation lands in their laps? And what if one or both of their lives were at risk? As the very world threatens to crumble under Jesse's feet, Petra struggles with something much more mundane. Her feelings for her best friend.

After the Order defeated the Admin, they went their separate ways. Beacontown is trying to move forward from the catastrophic event. Everything seems to be returning to normal. But Jesse is struggling to cope, often disappearing, and an enemy is suddenly back with a new source of power. Thrown back into a conflict after 5 months, the Order must once again band together and dig deeper into the enemy's history to stop them.
