This short book is a living collection of poems-snapshots of what's been on my mind, in the past and in the present. Some pieces come from old wounds, old lessons, and memories I still carry. Others were written in real time, in the middle of a moment I couldn't ignore-love, anger, grief, hope, clarity, confusion, growth. Each poem is an entry. A timestamp. A truth as I understood it then. This book isn't finished, because I'm not finished. It's consistently updated with new work as my thoughts shift, my life changes, and I find new words for the things I couldn't explain before. Every new entry is another page added to the same story: my mind, my heart, and the honest journey between who I was and who I'm becoming.

This is a compilation of some of the pieces I have written throughout my English Degree Program.

A tribute to my father, Carroll Raymond Bryan, Jr. This bit of writing is my gift to my father who passed from this world three weeks ago. It is about art and love, and anything that is not up to that measure will not be found here. Author, artist, opera singer, mathematician, architect, and visionary, Ray Bryan was a true artist, and that deserves to be celebrated.

This is my first time writing nonfiction on Wattpad. It's a collection of 48 stories from my four years of college, one for each month. Follow me as I grow from this weird introverted high school graduate...into a weird introverted college graduate. You'll witness me going through such challenges as COVID, hell freezing over, the school president using the bell tower as a rocket to launch into space, internships, failing to get internships, study abroad, study abroad getting cancelled, Disney World, being on TV, sickness, the Olympics, online summer programs, roommate issues, the Rocky Horror Picture Show, Hawaii, art exhibits, and most importantly, Splatoon 3. That was a very long list, and you'll find all of these things in this book.

I am writing and collaborating with lots of Military wives in the UK to share our stories. The book will be published later in the year in collaboration with The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Children's Fund, a charity set up in the UK to help children of serving or veteran Royal Navy Personnel or Royal Marines. My aim is to raise awareness of the sacrifice made by many military families in an uplifting way- showing how our love keeps us strong and helps us get through. The stories have been shared with me, and I have edited and written them in the subjects own 'voice'. I would really love any feedback and criticism to help me improve this book before it's published in full. I owe it to these ladies to share their stories in the best way possible. Poetry is my dearest love. I write it every day. This is a simple collection of my works. And, as life goes on, such is my song: I will never cease composing verses. This collection, 'Memoirs in Poetry', will never be truly complete. When I die, heaven cannot be heaven if I cannot continue my life's passion of leaving inspiration's mark with my pen on the hearts of those around me. This is what I have lived for, and for which I continue to live; this is what I will die for, and for which I will live even after my soul had departed this jaundiced earth for that distant paradise in the very presence of Divinity.

In a sense, it's a love story. A time of realization and growth. I'm always thinking about everything in my own way, never feeling as if things can change. When I let other people into my heart, something always goes rotten. Well, until him. He somehow touched my heart and managed not to break it. I tell my story as it happens with all the truth I can put in a single story. It's a revelation of the world inside and outside my own mind as a Thursday night unfolds into a maze of choices, and I just hope I can find my way out. I try to break down the walls that block me from truly experiencing the emotions I have hidden down in the garden of my soul. I battle my negative thoughts almost every time he enters my mind and have to fight my way back into neutral grounds. A memoir of my life makes me realize all the things that can happen in such a short amount of time, and I just hope I can convey my story in a light that makes people more confident in themselves and proud of where they are in their life. We are all still learning and battling in the ways of life, and I just hope I can make it through.

I looked outside my window today.

The memoirs of a girl who has left her home and life and had to start over due to her troubled homelife. "I was sitting awkwardly in the car taking me away from everything. My back was straight, my hands held each other in between my knees, and my eyes blankly stared forward. Looking to the person to the left of me was too painful, so I kept my eyes ahead of me. I only looked back once, I kind of wished something would go horribly wrong and I would return to the large two story tan house, with a bright green yard and garden, and it's perfect picket fence, and all of it's perfect memeories, but nothing did happen, and nothing would happen."

i came to a realization that almost all of the most important people in my life gave me the gift of music. so this is a book recognizing them and the stories that go along with them. and also just recommendations of songs that they gave me.

So I had a peculiar assignment for school which I found incredibly interesting... The Six Word Memoir. A Six Word Memoir is where you describe yourself and your life in just six words! It's actually easier than you think you just have to be creative! I absolutely loved reading other people's work and writing my own so I thought I should share this, and thus this was born! Here I will be posting my own six word memoirs and encouraging you to post your own! This will be a fun way to read and share your very own story but with one catch, it has to be six words count! So have fun with it and be as creative as you can be!
