BEFORE ANYTHING! I wanna tell you: before anyone says that this kind of fanfiction of irl ppl isn't popoular for a reason, think about all the other fanfics you've probably read. This is at the same level of all of those, I just wanted to create the fanfic I always looked for, just like you, get it? This is my first fanfiction btw!! I hope y'all like it :) I've put some experiences of mine in this one and english isn't my first language, you'll probably see :D if you'd be courious to see this in ky native language (Italian), let me know :) ! So, in this AU, set between 1983-84, Lars is FTM and is out only to James, his closest friend, but if it wasn't for him, he would be second only to Kirk. And Kirk will be the one to confess his feelings to Lars, who will feel "forced" to tell him about his identity before Kirk wants to do anything... freaky, yk? That's actually the plot of the first chapetrs, so there will be more :D!!! It's also going to be a story of growth, from all the 4 band members

On September 27th, 1986, Cliff Burton died in a tour bus accident. The other members of Metallica, Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, and Kirk Hammett have since hired three bassists in Cliff's place, but no one could replace the original bassist.
