And they get new teammates, Dean Portman, Julie Gaffney, Kenny Wu, Dwayne Roberston, & Luis Mendoza. Y/N meets Luis after helping him up when he falls. Will it love at first sight? 'Cherries' was what people called you girls, though never to your faces. It was the polished shoes, the pressed skirts, the neat ponytails tied with ribbon. Your parents had money, or at least enough of it to make sure your lives stayed clean and carefully curated. You walked into places like you belonged there, like the world had already made room for you. And then there were the Streets. The boys. Dust on their jeans, scuffed sneakers, shirts half untucked and sun-faded. They didn't walk anywhere, they ran, climbed, shouted. They lived outside, in empty lots and overgrown fields, building their own kingdom out of nothing but a baseball, a beat-up glove, and whatever rules they decided mattered that day. Different worlds. Same town. And somehow, always orbiting just close enough to collide. But, for some reason, that border seemed to vanish between you and Benjamin Franklin Rodriguez.

When Scotty Smalls moves into the neighborhood and starts playing with them, they encounter the most trouble they've ever been in while also having a great summer. The first of many in that constellation. The rights go to the creators of the sandlot. I only own Riele and her family.

So, this was going to be a cute fanfic about older Mike that I was going to publish a while back, but the more time passed and the more I lost inspiration and interest for this story, the more I began to back up from it and it wasn't long before I decided I couldn't finish it. It was taking way too long to write and it needed a lot of energy from me to finish writing it which I could never come up with said energy. So, I've decided to just post what I have written so far. It was going to have 20 chapters, but I could't make it to that point. It's most unlikely that I'll come back to this book and update it, so consider this an unfinished fanfic.
