expected many things, to struggle with the language barrier, with his lack of knowledge of Korean culture - he could read everything ever written about it but without growing up actually IN Korea, he didn't really know anything. He even expected to struggle to make friends, although always quite extroverted he's quiet, he overthinks everything and that tends to make forming friendships difficult.
