In his head, Mike and Will are still friends and they have been since that one day of kindergarten- the day Mike has deemed forever the day his life began - and they are closer than they have ever been. In his head, Mike never fucked up and let Will leave, and in his head they are conjoined at the hip. But that is only in his head. - An AU where Mike and Will sign up for a surfing competition without the knowing of the other and they find out later that they are pit against each other. Not only are they each other's opponents now, but now they are naturally each other's worst enemies. And even now when they are meant to hate each other, they can't help but fall in love again. Even when the tide itself is telling them it is not meant to be.

The Byers family could not have moved back to Hawkins at a worse time. There was an outbreak of the "Hanahaki Disease," and anyone with an unrequited love was vulnerable to becoming infected with flowers growing inside their lungs. Will had heard about this and was fully anticipating the first flower, but instead, he hears his sister coughing in the bathroom.

It's 1993 and Mike and Will are 22 years old. Will moved to NYC with Jonathan in 1989 right after graduating high school and he really likes it there. He feels like he finally fits in somewhere. Meanwhile, Mike never left Hawkins and he lives in his mother's basement. Mike realized that even though he lives in his childhood house with his Mom, Holly, Joyce and Hopper, he isn't actually "home". He hasn't been "home" since Will moved away. What happens when two best friends with unresolved feelings for each other reunite and have deep, meaningful conversations underneath the city lights? This story came to me in a dream, I added a few things to make it more, "story like." I didn't want it to be very long, kind of a 'short and sweet' type story for all the BYLERS out there. Depending on how much you guys like it, I might shit out another one for you. (Also, my hugest apologies, I'm not very amazing with English.) The time is set in 1988, the party is in the midst of trying to defeat Vecna, so you'll get all that drama, puppy dog eyes stuff that you like lol

Tw!!: I won't go into detail with this but self harm is gonna be quite obvious i think from introduction but it's not a main topic. I'll add more tags later on in writing. I based this of summer 1985 where will and mike have that fight in the rain, no spoilers but the story begins with a flashback of will arriving home after the fight, craving a feeling that he thinks he deserves. I haven't got much of an idea of what this might be but expect a LONGGG slow burn

TAKES PLACE AFTER SEASON 5 - SUMMER BEFORE COLLEGE Mike has felt lost without Eleven. Unprotected, scared, emotional at times. This whole time he has had no clue what to do with himself. Until, he gets an idea. A great idea - to honor Eleven and keep her in memory. Together, Will and Mike work as a TEAM to create something great and beautiful. But along the way, they learn something else. Something that change the two of them, forever.

this is a byler story lolsies I'll think of a title and change the cover later also half of this was written like a year ago so the writing style may change like halfway through the book summary!!!!!!! Mike never really realized how much life had changed since the Byers moved until a week before he was going to visit them. As Mike gets closer and closer to his trip to California, or Cali, as the surfer dudes call it, will he be able to make sense of his unusual relationship with Will?

The last DnD game before their whole party decided to go their own ways off to college, and whatever their future had in store for them. Mike noticed something, something that could change everything between him and his best friend.

Hi! It's Alec. This is my first fanfic!! English isn't my first language so if there are spelling mistakes or similar, I'm sorry!! This is a Byler fanfic (Will Byers + Mike Wheeler), it will focus on their story mainly, but of course, it follows the original Stranger Things plot. It happens in season three, when Mike confesses that "he loves Eleven and he can't lose her again".
