Luke Harkness has always looked like the kind of person destined for greatness. Tall, broad-shouldered, and naturally charismatic, everyone expected him to excel in sports-especially his father, who saw in him the build of a future athlete. The only problem was that Luke was terrible at sports.
Fortunately, Luke had a different talent.
Art has always been the one thing that made sense to him. Through sketches, paintings, and careful craftsmanship, he found a way to share the world as he saw it. Though his father had hoped he would pursue a more athletic path, he supported Luke's decision to enroll at Saltcove University of Fine Arts.
Looking for extra credit and a change of scenery, Luke joins a summer nature retreat alongside other students. What should have been a peaceful getaway quickly becomes anything but. Between new friendships, growing rivalries, and an enemy who seems strangely familiar, the trip turns into a whirlwind of chaos, secrets, and unexpected encounters.
Sometimes, the most beautiful landscapes hide the messiest stories.

To everyone who's reading this book,
This story was originally meant to be my Pride 2026 special release. Unfortunately, between a stubborn case of writer's block, countless rounds of editing, and a story that changed far more than I ever expected, it ended up arriving two months later than planned.
I'm sorry for the delay, but I'm grateful I gave this story the time it needed to become what it is now.
I hope you enjoy Luke Harkness's journey. Whether you find pieces of yourself in him or in someone else you meet along the way, I hope these characters stay with you long after you've turned the final page.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for your patience.
