Derek Morgan is captain of the football team, and hangs out with the popular crowd. Spencer Reid goes to the same high school, but hangs with a different crowd. Penelope Garcia is best friend to them both, and has a plan that neither were expecting. Forewarning: I suck at summaries, but I promise that this is worth the read. At least in my opinion. Also, there is a lot of Garcia being called Penelope or 'Lope. Also known as the Dancer!Reid nobody asked for but we all deserve. The idea hit me like a bus when I was reminiscing over my own experience with the dance form. I have never done Pointe (but I did regular ballet- my ankles aren't strong enough) so if something is wrong please politely mention how to correct it. That being said, this is also the first time I've attempted to do this sort of book and style (specifically motion and a song piece) so if I do something wrong, please correct me. (TRIGGER WARNINGS: child molester, homophobia, schizophrenia, anxiety, in detail panic attacks and sensory overloads, depression, mentions of self harm, bullying, death, divorce) spencer reid was the nerd, the outcast. derek morgan was the jock, loved by everyone. both had their demons, though they didn't know about eachothers. derek had taken his anger out on spencer, beating him up, and bullying him every day, but maybe that was just a way for him to cover up what he was going through. maybe he was just too scared to admit he might have a thing for the child prodigy, the weird kid. maybe there was a reason spencer smiled at him in the halls, and wrote little smiley faces on the back of the homework he did for him. maybe spencer could see the scared little boy inside who was covered by the bully derek acted like. spencer had his demons too. he had no one to help him through them. maybe they just needed eachother.

Dr. Spencer Reid was always not into the love scene, but after he's abducted, and brought back; he needs someone by his side, and to love. His confidence is falling, and his mind is spiraling out of control. Derek Morgan has been there for it all, and has started spending more and more time with the "pretty boy". Will it turn into something more, or is it just for comfort and guilt?

On the plane back to home after a case, Morgan and Reid end up cuddling together while falling asleep.

Two months after surviving Tobias Hankel, Dr. Spencer Reid struggles to forget every detail of his documented trauma and has a gut instinct that leads him to believe he's forgetting undocumented trauma as well. Having undergone a mandatory psychiatric evaluation in order to return to work immediately after being rescued, Spencer is diagnosed with a slew of mental health conditions, as well as a late diagnosis of ASD and ADHD. He's trying to adjust to his new ADHD and anxiety medications that allow him to seemingly function better than ever before. Sure, the meds make it easier for him to throw himself right back into his work despite the trauma and the anxiety meds are messing with his ability to remember key elements of his trauma at all... but is that such a bad thing? He's the best he's ever been. He's found the perfect balance in pill bottles. His concept of time and reality may falter, his ability to eat or sleep is nonexistent these days, but that's just a side effect that he can live with if it's what allows him to feel like a profiler rather than a helpless victim. The doctors had reassured him that he would adjust eventually and that although he was being prescribed narcotics, there was little to no recreational or abuse potential. That dependency and addiction weren't something he needed to worry about. Nothing worse than temporary side effects. He did, however, think it odd that he enjoyed what he presumed to be the most intense and notable side effects. He was fine. Everything was fine.

Some people think dying is difficult, but you knew better, you knew how easy, it was. Dying is sort of like being born in reverse, as you die, your senses start fading out, one by one. First it was your sight, the world gradually got fuzzy, blurry, to the point where you couldn't make out the features of the man leaning over you, begging you to hold on. And then there was the searing pain in your torso, slowly fading away until it was nothing but a dull throb. By this time your mind is starting to fog, but you still have a semblance of understanding what exactly is happening. You're dying, your body is shutting down.
