Sophia had passed away. Daniela wasn't even sure how long it had been, but she kept seeing her. Everywhere. Every day. Like a stain that refused to wash away, or a memory that refused to be forgotten. The strange thing was, Daniela wasn't sure she wanted Sophia to disappear. Because disappearing meant forgetting. Disappearing meant accepting that Sophia truly wasn't here anymore. So Daniela reached for the ghost of someone who had already left her world, knowing her hand would always pass right through. People said time was a necessary ingredient for healing. That grief softened, that hearts learned to carry what they couldn't keep. But Daniela wasn't sure her heart would survive long enough to find out.

Stella Jones thought moving from Trenton, New Jersey to Belleville wouldn't be fun. Hey, she was right. Or so she thought. I mean, who would like moving from a so-so town all the way across the state to a complete dump? To make matters worse, all her friends were back in her old town. When her dad forces her to get a job, she finally gets hired at a CD store.
