"Why does it all have to be so beautifully corrupt?" he murmured, his soft voice sending shivers up my spine.
"You can't have beauty without pain," I whispered, still hypnotized by the rising sun. It was unbelievable how after only a couple of seconds the whole view changed. The reds and oranges had faded away into a stunning golden yellow.
"I disagree with that," he muttered, kissing the side of my forehead. "You are quite mesmerizing, Princess."
I smiled up at him and rolled my eyes. Princess didn't fit me at all. I was the furthest thing from it. Especially now. Last time I had checked, princesses were prim and proper; most definitely not a wanted 'criminal'. They also didn't live off of granola bars and lake water.
