The lights grow softer. Dust drifts through old museums. Rain gathers on library windows. A brass girl fills another page of her notebook while the world quietly changes around her. the autonomous heart is a collection of poems that linger in a single moment, inviting ordinary places to reveal extraordinary meaning. Rather than rushing from image to image, each poem pauses long enough for silence, light, memory, and imagination to become part of the story. These poems are written from the perspective of a quiet observer who is still learning what it means to notice beauty. Whether that observer is mechanical or human is left for you to decide. Welcome. The room has been waiting for you.

Friends are like potatoes. Some are crispy and make life more enjoyable. Some are as smooth as mashed potatoes-easy to get along with. And some are dry, needing a deep dip into an ocean of patience. In this book, we'll take a journey through the kitchen of friendship, discovering how to keep the recipe from burning. Along the way, we'll figure out who deserves a place on the plate-and who belongs in the trash bin.

[19:4] Most days - which I wish would be all - I return to the recesses of the religion that raised me and of the faith that had kept my heart at peace for so long. We're all lacking - whether by sinning or by failing to fulfil our obligations to the fullest. However, I pray that we strive to be the best we can be. As a proud Muslim, as someone who's not afraid to advocate for Islam, though I may lack in knowledge, as someone who finds peace and safety in the bosom of this beautiful faith, I share with you my musings. Whether it is verses I've loved and/or pondered over, whether it is miracles within the Qur'an that I have learned of and find fascinating, or whether it is Nasheeds, I want to share them here. These are the musings of my surrendered, muslim heart. One that has only surrended to the Lord of the Worlds.
