"Did you die?" He asked, eyes full of worry. "Yes, Kare." I spat back. "Oh, ok. I hope you had a nice life. Goodbye now." A character with self-hatred. A character with too much self-love. (This story involves fantasy and romance and elves.)

A short poem about how I learnt of my Grandmother's death while on a trip to the beach with my school.

"Alright, then. Up and away, guys!" I shouted, already running in the direction of the shore. My toes barely skimmed the water when I jumped, probably a good 2 feet in the air, and unfolded my pure white wings. I pumped them up and down, gaining altitude fast. I looked behind me and saw them doing the same, Nanna with her auburn wings, Zakk with his dark blue, and Tyler with his almost golden color, the same exact color as his hair. I turned back around, involuntarily smiling at the total rush of feeling the cool wind under my wings. Oh, did I forget to mention that we could fly, too?

decided after years of writing poems I'm gonna start putting them up please be aware that some of them are sad, there are some happy ones but not a lot.

కొన్ని రోజులు గడిచాయి. రాహుల్ పాఠశాలలో జరిగిన "ఫాదర్స్ డే" కార్యక్రమానికి వెళ్లాడు. అన్ని పిల్లలు తమ నాన్నలతో వచ్చారు. రాహుల్ ఒక్కడే ఒంటరిగా కూర్చున్నాడు. ఆ క్షణం అతనికి కన్నీళ్లు వచ్చాయి. కానీ అమ్మ చెప్పిన మాట గుర్తుకు తెచ్చుకున్నాడు - "నువ్వు మంచి పనులు చేస్తే, నాన్న గర్వపడతారు." రాహుల్ తన గుండెల్లో నాన్నను ఊహించుకున్నాడు. పోటీ మొదలైంది. టీచర్ అన్నాడు: "ఈ రోజు మన నాన్నల గురించి చెప్పాలి." అందరూ తమ నాన్నల గురించి చెబుతుండగా, రాహుల్ కూడా లేచి చెప్పాడు: "నా నాన్న నా హీరో. ఆయన ఇప్పుడు మనతో లేరు కానీ, అమ్మ చెబుతుంది ఆయన నాకు ఎప్పుడూ తోడుగా ఉంటారని. నేను చదువులో బాగా రాణిస్తే, ఇతరులకు సహాయం చేస్తే, నాన్న సంతోషిస్తారని నమ్ముతాను." అందరూ కాసేపు నిశ్శబ్దంగా విన్నారు. టీచర్ కళ్లల్లో నీళ్లు వచ్చాయి. "రాహుల్, నీ నాన్న నిజంగా గర్వపడుతున్నారు బాబూ," అని చెప్
