Before his mum tells him that they are moving to Menorca, Nick Nelson has a life that's perfect in his eyes. He has amazing friends, a great rugby team, and even though Truham seems a little small and boring, it is perfect for him, it's home. And now he will lose all of that? But Sarah is not changing her mind, they'll move to Diane in Menorca. So he spends the next few months learning Spanish. It's not perfect, but it's enough for basic conversations. At first, living on Menorca is pretty hard. He doesn't know anyone and no one pays any attention to him. He's an outcast. But then one day, he meets Charlie Spring, who not only makes living in Menorca a little easier, but also completely messes with Nick's head. (All rights go to Alice Oseman who created all of those wonderful characters.)

Nick Nelson has always tried to be the strong one. After everything that's happened, things are finally starting to look better for Charlie. He's back from the clinic, their friends are laughing together again, and life is slowly finding its way back to something normal. At least, that's what everyone else seems to think. But being the person everyone relies on isn't always as easy as Nick makes it look. While supporting Charlie through recovery, balancing rugby, friendships, and the pressure of figuring himself out, Nick begins to realize that constantly taking care of everyone else leaves very little room to take care of himself. The thoughts he keeps pushing aside start getting louder, and the fear of messing something up refuses to go away. Every few chapters, Nick writes in a private diary he never meant for anyone else to see. In those pages, the things he can't say out loud start to spill onto paper. The question is... how long can someone keep everything together before the cracks start to show? A story exploring Nick Nelson's mental health, the weight of being "the strong one," and the quiet struggles that sometimes go unnoticed. Updates include occasional diary entries written by Nick. All characters and the world of Heartstopper belong to Alice Oseman.

[Or, the one where literally everyone has a pet dragon made from their energy and Nick's dragon likes to be with Charlie who doesn't have one, to the point where it's ridiculous...or embarrassing. Or both.]
