The Luoting Lectureship is an ensemble science-fiction novel set against the imagined future institution of Luoting University. The story begins with the partners Ma Feili and Ada, who, after becoming entangled in a series of mysterious incidents, are "exiled" to Luoting as instructors. Yet this university is anything but an ivory tower. It comprises three colleges-Historical Narrative, Archives and Protocols, and Engineering and Life Support-each bound to a covert and formidable mission: to preserve memories erased by the system, restore fractured protocols, and safeguard the final threshold of human survival in an age saturated with advanced technology and informational contamination.

This book is a collection of side stories for The Luoting Lectureship.Ma Feili and Aida were transferred by the "Final State Mapping Arbitration Bureau" to Lotting University in the core star circle of Neon Capital, under the guise of a promotion. They were appointed as oral history teaching and research fellows for a two-year term.On the surface, their duties were perfectly ordinary: lecturing undergraduate and graduate students, organizing urban memory archives, guiding students in fieldwork collection, and systematically archiving centuries of Neon Capital's street whispers, family secrets, and urban legends.Only they themselves knew the true meaning of this transfer order - it was both a suspension and bait.Because Neon Capital was no ordinary city.It was a consciousness container repeatedly refined by superconducting networks, a magnifying glass forged by superluminal logistics and the narrative industry, and a living simulation field formed by layer upon layer of personality backups and city-scale scenario systems. The people here had long since outgrown merely "living." They were continuously recorded, repeatedly narrated, endlessly simulated, and quietly duplicated.Every piece of gossip on the street, every family gathering, and every blockbuster drama adapted from real events silently thickened the city's "narrative crust."And what the "Outside" loved most to invade was precisely this: amplified human consciousness and solidified narrative structures. When a city begins to earnestly believe its own legends, to obsessively chew on its own traumas, and to commodify its own memories, what happens?History begins to walk on its own. Archives begin to speak with their own voices. Classrooms begin to choose their own students. Families begin to decide the meaning of bloodlines. Public opinion begins to judge heretics. Institutions begin to grow teeth.

What drives a man to kill his kin? Hatred nurtured. BASED ON William Shakespeare's HAMLET [LOGLINE: All is wild in the west. Especially in a small town called Elinore. The Deans have ruled this territory for centuries. Former rough-riding cooks of Teddy Roosevelt to a now sustaining Texas-wide, family-owned-and-operated restaurant kingdom. BUT TRAGEDY HAS STRUCK. Leaving the younger golden child of a brother dead. The older raven-haired bastard sibling eager to take the thorn. And a daughter scorned and troubled, questioning everything -- from herself to her very own vengeance.] The following tale of woe contains sensitive content involving loss, grief, and murder, including implications of self-harm and abuse -- which may by upsetting for some readers.

A speaker wrestles with longing, grief, and thwarted devotion. Night, rain, and burning waves mirror an ageless heart consumed by passion and sorrow. Questions of worth and purpose arise-a humble steed seeking redemption, a maestro fearing the loss of his song and belonging, a woman bound by a path shaped by stolen prayer. An unsung hero, wordless with rage, is lost between life and death, propelled only by the hard "steel" counsel of his father-now entombed-that both burdens and guides him. Overall, it's a meditation on love, loss, and the struggle to find meaning under the weight of fate and memory.

"Stuck Between The Chords" is a random story I thought of on a random Thursday evening, overthinking about the things I've done in my life and what I haven't all because I had an upcoming exam and I'm stressed asl LOL. This story is based on the so-familiar feeling of wanting to say something to someone but cannot simply because you couldn't-- various circumstances are implemented. The haunting feeling of the unspoken, melancholic words that are stuck between your vocal cords, like a lump in your throat, unable to utter a word. This story is inspired by a website called "The Unsent Project" where you can anonymously post messages you wish you had told them. Feelings that were yet to be delivered. Unsent texts. I've included the story of most of the people that I personally knew, asking them "What was one thing that you wish you had told someone, but were never able to?" The answers definitely made me feel like there's a lump in my throat. It pains me to see and listen to some of these people. I was definitely sad, but some of these made me feel relieved, too. When you read a book, you're experiencing the tons of emotions and spiraling that a character goes through. Even if you may, or may not shed a tear reading some of these, I do hope to the deepest of my heart, that you'd be able to experience at least an ounce of what these people felt, as you turn the pages across their lives.

Lucien wakes from the ashes with only one thought left in his mind: Find the killer. And make them suffer. But the deeper he falls into Manila's criminal underworld, the more reality begins to fracture. The messages guiding him. The enemies he destroys. The revenge he builds from nothing. None of it may be what it seems. Because sometimes the most terrifying monster... is the reality you created to escape the truth.

This story is a quiet reflection of a real-life experience, written from the heart and inspired by genuine emotions. It follows the journey of silent admiration, acceptance, and growing up, showing how someone can leave a lasting impact even without staying for long. Through simple narration, it explores feelings that were never spoken out loud but were deeply felt over time. It is not a story of perfect timing or fairytale romance, but of learning to appreciate someone from afar and finding peace in letting things be as they are. A short but meaningful chapter about memories, emotions, and the beauty of admiring in silence.

Before Innovia became what it is today, it was called Iravath, and it was Lysa's home. Growing up in Harenia, a coastal town in the empire of Adamania, when dragons still flew free in the skies and nested in the mountains of the hinterland, Lysa had the misfortune to be born during the age of the Conquest, when the gods were slain by powerful primordial demons who seized the continent of Iravath in their grip. Lysa doesn't believe in the gods, but she believes in their death, and that soon the entire continent will meet a similar fate. But what can she do alone to stem an immense evil? A simple human, in a land of entities that stand on top of each other's bodies, making the cult of mortals a game or a bargaining chip, has no hope of being able to change destiny. She has no powers, she doesn't know magic, and she barely knows how to hold a weapon in her hand. It'll be the encounter with one of the terrible primordial demons that will change her forever: Morthakar, the Scourge of Shadows, will make her an offer that, in the moment of the most desperate need, Lysa will not be able to refuse. But demons are mendacious creatures, and what may seem like a gift quickly becomes a heavy chain, that drags the soul of those who give in to their mellifluous words into oblivion. On her own, Lysa cannot even save herself. But new gods are being born from the prayers of mortals subjected to abuse, to sacrifices. And among them, perhaps the girl will find someone who'll finally be willing to help her not only to regain her freedom, but also to dispel the terror of primordial demons once and for all. [ This is a prequel to the main story "Tales of Innovia", but contains no major spoilers for the main plot. The two stories can be read in any order you like.]
