Some poetry/lyrics that I have written the last couple of months recovering from losing my son at almost 20 weeks pregnancy. Although it was and still is difficult, he does give me strength to keep on being the positive, optimistic person that I have always been. Writing also helps me to listen to myself.

Almost everyone in this world gets stuck in a rut. That rut can range from not getting hits in softball to being completely nuts with problems. My rut, was, and maybe still is, depression. Now, every once in a while you hear that word. Depression. It can be thrown out all willy nilly or kept hidden away as a secret that no one knows. With my story, depression was, and still is, a long, painful journey to being happy. This is my slow escape.

Despite her resistance, she can't shake the feeling that he's trying to break through her emotional walls.
