Neverending Stories

Time has a strange way of taking things from us. Faces become distant. Voices become memories. Places change. Moments become stories we can no longer return to. And yet, not everything disappears. Some people remain-not in the way they once existed beside us, but somewhere within the quiet architecture of who we become. A thought, a feeling, a familiar song, a moment that suddenly belongs to another time. Perhaps memory is its own form of existence. So this is not a story, nor an attempt to preserve what once was. It is simply a record of what continues to exist after the moment itself has passed. The thoughts. The fragments. The echoes. The ordinary days in which the past quietly becomes present again. Because if time is measured by what it takes from us, perhaps memory is measured by what it cannot.

So this will be kind of like my journal for high school. I'm currently a freshman and I plan to finish this when I graduate. I will write about what happened over the week and update every Friday (at least I hope to). And with my experience, I'll try to add some advice to it. Since I'm a freshman, I still have a lot of things to experience in high school. I hope that maybe this can help anyone that ever finds themselves in a situation similar to whatever I've experienced. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN OUR EYES ✨ *Based on true story* He lived one floor above me - silent, sharp-eyed, and wrapped in mystery. We never spoke, but our eyes did. Again and again. Under Eid lights, in stairwells, near goats and sacrifices, I felt something spark - something I wasn't ready for but couldn't ignore. I never knew his name, but I memorized his face. His gaze felt like a question I was too scared to answer. Maybe if I had said "hi," things would've been different. But sometimes, the most unforgettable stories begin and end in silence. This is the story of a girl, a boy, and the glances that almost became something.
