While Emi quickly bonds with the group, Caden keeps his distance. He is not used to girls being part of it, and it shows. Emi keeps trying to be kind to him, but he reacts with teasing, sarcasm, and irritation, often coming off meaner than he means. What starts as tension and constant clashing slowly shifts as they spend more time together. And little by little he begins to let her in, even if he does not realize it yet.
