When the threat became real, an organization called HER was the one everyone was looking at. They were dedicated to get mankind into space and to another home. The threat caused worldwide panic and rebellion. The public began to overthrow the government and force the rich to fund HER to speed up their research and production of ships to get into space. The public did not stop there, though, the world was in disarray and it eventually became a dystopia with the only protected place being HER. Eventually, HER is able to get the human race into space and the race begins. Riley's group is the first to reach this new planet.
