Among the worst myths about Evan Morgan concerns his war time service in the Royal Signals Corps during World War 2 . Evan was an officer in the section known as MI 14, who were responsible for the use of carrier pigeons in the war effort. In April 1943 after taking command of one of the small sections at MI 14 involving liaison with the pigeon breeders ( supplying the birds to the War Office ) Evan suffered the humiliation of a Court Martial for breeches of the Official Secrets Act. Evan's downfall was brutal.
