The battle with the twelfth angel ended in complete disaster with tye loss of shinji ikari, and practically the loss of unit-01 by extension which refuses to function, shinji however found himself in what would he any other man's dream but it is his own nightmare

the united nations of the reborn humanity, have declared humanity will no longer be separated by countries and would be governed by one single government, the newly created united federation, they have reformed NERV under the command of one shinji ikari, but why have they done this what does shinji know, and why is he so tightlipped

shinji survived third impact, he hated gbjz fact, but after three years, he's gotten used to it, he's also gotten used to receiving artifacts that should have been destroyed, giant robotic bipedal artifacts that give shinji headaches

(WARNING: This fic deals with heavy themes such as depression, mental illness, self harm, and suicide. Reader's discretion is advised.) Shinji Ikari is at his breaking point. He's never felt emptier in his entire life. Going through life is a chore, piloting the EVA is draining, and he can't seem to get along with anyone. Especially Asuka, the pilot of EVA Unit-02 and his roommate. He always finds himself falling for her, only for his heart to be stomped and spat on. One night, when he's at his lowest low with no light at the end of the tunnel, Shinji makes an attempt at his own life. But when Asuka walks in on him, she is thrust back to the moment her mother made the same decision. As Shinji lies comatose in NERV's hospital, Asuka and Misato wait with baited breath for him to come back. Can Asuka save Shinji from himself? Can she save herself as well, and face her demons that all stem from that fateful day in her past? Can Shinji forgive himself, as well as Asuka? Any way the wind blows, the answers will be revealed.

after completing fifth impact, and remaking the human race, shinji used the last of his power while in unit-01 to send him elsewhere, finding himself in the united federation of planets where he joins starfleet, and he serves through both the borg assaults, and the dominion war a new galaxy-class starship has just come off the line using technology from the U.S.S.-VOYAGER which had come home from the delta quadrant is placed under the command of captain shinji ikari, with a rather unique mission

stopping third impact proved more difficult then any realized, as the spear of cassius impaled into unit-01 only appeared to make the EVA stronger, as it began to change, now however things had changed, the angels were gone wiped out by an ascended unit-01, and humanity has been granted a second chance, but there was one question to be answered where was shinji ikari
