This is the story of my first EMDR triggered nightmare. I dreamed of "friends" living in me. Made me questioned what is this dream trying to tell me? Is part of me dying? Am I rotting from within?

I said those words and I couldn't stop myself not to feel the bitterness of the truth we are going to face. But still I hold her hand even though I know that it isn't right. We run and I save her. Yet, I don't know it was the beginning and I don't want to find out the ending. Still, the end is near and I cannot hold her even though my heart already belongs to her.

This is one of several dreams in which I lucid dream. What stands out to me is how the POV in the dream changes based on my discomfort level. I am aware I am actively choosing to stay in the dream and look away from a gory scene.
