Royals are seen as the Gods and Goddesses of Ameulite. There are five in total, each possessing an unnatural ability and living alongside the King and Queen. When Mara is drafted into the army preparing for the upcoming war between three of the seven kingdoms, she finds out more about herself than she could have imagined. During her time in the palace training for the war, she discovers that she is no different from the Royals. Her power is dangerous, something nobody has ever seen before. Upon living in the palace, Mara is thrown into a world of love and hatred, betrayal and loyalty, and most importantly, truth and lies.

I looked around expecting someone in the restroom to hear me and say something, but nothing happened until I heard his voice. "Babe, come outta there we need to talk," his voice smooth like silk to my ears. "I don't know what your talking about," I huffed in annoyance. "I heard you earlier, as clear as day babe come out of the stall or I'm coming in there. It's no go to stay sick," I could hear the smirk in his voice. "No, you can't make me come out unless you leave, I want to go home and sleep," I knew I was being unfair to him he only wanted the best for me. But I guess that is what happens when your a frail human dating a drop dead, gorgeous vampire who's looks could kill... Literally.

She hid her excitement when Mario Goetze scored in overtime, winning the game for Germany. Afterwards, Lena convinced the disappointed soccer star to go to a party and forget about the loss. She went home to change, and went to meet him at the party. Turns out she got the wrong address, and accidentaly attended Germany's celebratory party. Though she knows she should leave, she decides to congratulate the champions. Thomas Mueller invites her to take a drink, which she hesitantly accepts. Next thing she knows she's drunk out of her mind- and it's morning. Did I mention that she's in bed, naked, with the one and only Mario Goetze?

A casual night at the bar leads to absolute disaster. In hopes of loosening up his young colleague, Nero decides to treat Rowan to a night out.
