In this AU Macaque has not met Wukong yet and was therefore not one of his sworn brothers. Basically, Macaque does some shit and gets put in the care Guanyin. Guanyin then passes on the responsibility to Tripitaka. So now Tripitaka has two celestial monkeys to deal with. Also Macaque got a headband too because you know I had to double it.
