Book 1 Stiles Stilinski becomes possessed by the Nogitsune, a dark ancient fox spirit that feeds on chaos, pain, and fear. As "Void Stiles," he causes destruction in Beacon Hills without fully controlling his actions. Scott McCall and the pack must track him down, uncover how the possession works, and find a way to separate Stiles from the Nogitsune before the chaos destroys the town and Stiles himself.

After Allison's death the pack was heartbroken. No one more then Scott. They fought hard against the Nogitsune. But in the end all they could do was give Stiles control. His mind and body was his again, but the Nogitsune was still living within him. With the poison that Deaton gave Stiles every week he was able to stay in control.
