Shara is 15 with over controlling parents so far she has always obeyed them and their rules but one day she snaps she leaves her cell phone at school to avoid being tracked and sets out to the woods surrounding her home. Little into her journey she starts to have second thoughts when she stumbles apon a wishing well she goes in for a closer inspection when she is shoved into it when she awakes she is no longer in the woods of home but instead in the Okapi clan base. She is in the medical hut where she meets her first true friend Jewel, but time is cut short when second in line to top guard in training Mary must deliver Shara to the council and decide her fate and part in Okapi.

Piper Owens is a poor girl living in District Twelve with her two older brothers and drunken father. When she gets reaped in The Hunger Games, she must find a way to survive, while facing the indecision of whether or not winning is worth killing innocent children.

''Vasu!" I whispered. Both of them grabbed my hand, and she exclaimed, "It's following; we have to get the hell out of here!" I jerked my hand from their grip and ran towards the wolf. When I was near it, I stopped, standing just a few feet away. "Madhu! What the heck are you doing? It's trying to hurt us!" she said. I took a step forward and shook my head, almost whispering, "No... it's not." I began walking towards the wolf, and our eyes locked. I felt a spark; I swear, I'm not wrong. Suddenly, a wave of energy travelled behind me and hit the wolf, throwing it away. "Sweetheart! It hurts... tell them to stop it!" Vasu's voice echoed in my ears. I lifted a protective shield around me and the wolf. I took a step towards the wolf; they both shouted at me not to go near it, but I didn't listen. Once I was near the wolf, I looked into its eyes. "Vasu! ... It's Vasu," I shouted and took a step back. The wolf kept its eyes on mine. They continued yelling at me that it's not Vasu, but I knew. My heart knew it was him. I knelt down and placed my hand on his head. In that moment, his eyes turned into a deep, dark red shade. I gulped. "I know it's you. Please come back to me!" I said. With his eyes locked with mine, he nodded and shifted back to human. During the transformation, I heard his bones breaking. Within a few moments, he transformed back into human, and I gasped. "Sweetheart... it hurts..." he said and fainted . The girl, who has less confidence about herself, is a selfless individual, always putting her family's happiness before her own. She is willing to give up her love for the sake of her family's well-being. Similarly, the boy shares the same selfless mindset, being ready to sacrifice his love for her happiness. However, sometimes, fate has other plans. Their love possesses a healing power. However, when their pasts resurface and impact their lives, how will they handle each other? How will they navigate a situation where they discover their inner power?
