Alucard for one is just content in his own way to watch humans be humans, such funny, entertaining little creatures that he never thought a genuine friendship would apparently spark, let alone something more develop when Beatrice's freedom of choice is taken from her, and she is in need of some vampiric assistance.

The Diary of Valdrada Steinbach, has by some unknown way, passed into my own hands. Thus I find it most important to share with you, for the story told within is grim and has a great wealth of knowledge on the creatures of the night. * This story is based on Bram Stoker's Dracula and tells the story of my own character Valdrada in a similar way to the original story, that of her diary. I have taken liberty to change some things to match my story better, as in the 1931 movie it is not Jonathan Harker who travels to Transylvania as solicitor but rather Renfield (here given name be Thomas) upon which journey he becomes the familiar of our so well known count. I have tried to be as true to the original novel as I can, while still telling my story.*

Hello! I'm Diana and this is my first fanfiction so please be gentle with me. This is a sort of continuation of the movie Dracula that was released back in 1992. This dissertation will create an understanding into how the vampire myth has evolved throughout the ages with literature in the 19th century and later on to film, earning it's place as one of the most iconic hero/villians within popular culture.
