The second American Revolution will be a fire lit not from an external flame, but from an internal spark. The year is 2022. African American hacker Isse Corvus enters a black-ops training camp. He discovers the leaders are revolutionaries seeking to return the U.S. back to its Constitutional roots. Soon the camp fractures. Corvus learns that if he doesn't join The Cause and help them hack the NSA's servers it could mean his life. If he joins, he becomes part of a conspiracy to overthrow America's financial oligarchy. NSA Director Titus Montgomery is building a system to pacify America's instigators. He is told by the President that rule of law must be maintained at all costs. What happens when martial law meets revolution? The Cause is a dystopian novel taking many topical issues to the next logical conclusion. Robotic warfare, drones, quantum computers, Anonymous, the NSA, and a cast of traumatic characters, this novel will take you on a manifest journey to how a new revolution could be born. The dense web of the NSA's previous generation's surveillance system has been supplanted by a new, more ruthless one.

Accusatory thrust of claimants for exceptional and rock-solid "truth" of radically different nature as compared to foes' "propaganda" has become a brand identity of almost every influential media on both sides of the frontline after the humanity "invented" information war yet again. However, inside the competing systems, newsmakers and experts prone to respecting their opponents' position are pushed out to the periphery of media scene. The world outlook approach which asserts that practically every question worth discussing has more than one correct answer is inoperative in modern international sphere. The prevailing tendency is negation of everything that is "not from our flock".

The door of the dungeon slammed behind us. I was the most terrified I have ever been and it wasn't because I was six thousand miles from my home, in a dungeon that would be the envy of the Marquis de Sade, with two killers and the insane sadomasochistic transvestite owner of the dungeon. The transvestite was actually on my side. The two killers were actually our prisoners. My fear was due to the fact Rogue was being held by a gang of ruthless white slavers and it was only a matter of hours before they would be completely beyond my reach and I might never see Rogue again. I had to make the killers tell me where she was! Sequel to Sharing Afflictions.

And now, someone has taken control of that system. Now, a small team led by a college professor and an outdoors survivalist must travel through America's heartland trying to stay one step ahead of death as they close in on a quarry that can see out of every video camera in the world and listen through every cell phone and microphone they come in contact with. Can they achieve their mission, or will they die trying?
