Alan Ashby a 20 year old boy strives to be in a band, one day he moves to Los Angeles and meets someone who can grant his wishes.

I wrote the next chapter of Of Mice and Men for English class and decided I would upload it on here. The story was written trying to best match the style of Steinbeck's work so it uses the dialect in dialogue. I realize that the dialect contains grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors, so there is no need to point those out. Otherwise constructive criticism is welcome. -Disclaimer- The novella Of Mice and Men was written by John Steinbeck. Like everyone else, Tristan Ashby is an average girl with relationship issues. The thing that makes her stand out is the fact her older brother is Alan Ashby, a member of the band Of Mice and Men, one of her best friends is the band's most desired member Austin Carlile, and the fact that she has his attention in ways she's never dreamed of. Since Tristan has been oblivious about how he feels for years, she settled with a drunk named Max from a band called Unpleasant Burial. When the two finally break up, Austin starts dropping hints that she can't ignore, but as soon as something begins for them, Max makes it known that he isn't ready to let go of her. And he'll do anything to get her back, even if it's deadly.
