In a world in which legends come true Kaila may be the only hope. Chaos reigns all over the world. Fantastic creatures appear one after another making a normal life impossible. No news, no internet. Besides some occasional radio reports, everyone hast to fight for themselves. The 14-year-old Kaila gets separated from her family but her experiences seem to be somewhat different... The world is coming to an end, or so the doomsayers keep saying. But some are willing to fight and die for the chance of another day. The enemy is a cruel and unstoppable monster, but she refuses to give up. She will fight, to the bitter end if need be, to give all life on earth hope for a better tomorrow. [Of Monsters and Us Contest Entry] Death is the road. Life is the traveller. Our soul is our guide. In hopeless times, all it took for them to worsen was the word "hopeless." All it took was chaos for those times to unleash their fury in full force. A fury named - The Wraith.

You're a monster, a beast." Avery croaks. She wants to yell, make him hurt as soundly as he had hurt her but the fight in her dwindles. Fear sparks up instead, it flows through her blood and reaches its target, her mind scatters, scrambling into memories. She sees herself in her famished household and she finds peace in it. She wants to go back; she craves Anna's warm embrace, seeks to walk through the empty hallways of her abandoned house. Avery longs for familiarity.

And that it would cause the world an apocalypse. That it would be the monster who will take control of us for doom. Can we be saved?? "It's a duty you can't run away from. Our safety lies in your hands." Ella, a 14 years old girl, who was found crying in front of the orphanage when she was a baby, took the chance to run away from the hell she was living in when a magical creature appeared out of nowhere. Her only option was to listen and comply when the said creature refused to let her go.

Humans were once our dreams, but now, they are our reality. Caged for a million years, the Bulions finally found their way to the surface. Instead of surviving on the meat of their brothers and sisters, they can now taste the fresh meat of humans. [Of Monsters and Us Contest Entry] "Kill them before they infect you, less you endanger others." The world has fallen into a new age of apocalypse. Red lines marked the necks of the monsters' preys and the black lines marked those who were safe. Monsters, the turned, man-eaters, they go by many names. But 'Grays' was what those undead creatures which appeared at night generally go by. Known to crave the meat of the ones marked red. The only known thing to save one from them were hearts of the ones marked with black. They could also choose to kill them, but a normal human with no magic could not easily achieve such feat. For over a decade, monsters have ruled the lands. They kill humans for the joy of it, destroy their food/herb supply, and spread deadly diseases. No one had dared to stop these mighty beasts for fear of what might happen. Until now... Two misfit, clueless child bestfriends decide that enough is enough and the monsters must be stopped. In a distant Kingdom, hunger, disease, despair, and death reigned. People lost hope for a better tomorrow, in which they wouldn't have to worry about escaping and hiding from the creatures that emerged from the darkness. Many called them the Enlightened Ones, others called them Purifiers, but generally, they were known as the Burning One's. A creature that once was human, but now did not resemble them.

She has come from the shadows. She brings all the creatures of nightmare with her. He stands alone. But is his will enough to stop her?
