In exchange for his cooperative silence for the rest of her stay, Artemis agrees to help Dimitri complete his summer to-do list within the following 24 hours. From cliff diving to exotic meals - all firsthand experiences - Artemis can't help but find herself breeze through the first couple of tasks. However, as she begins to slowly make her way down to the bottom of list, it seems that time - the one thing Artemis wished would fly by - has now become the one thing she's gradually beginning to dread. Finding herself debating whether or not she actually wants the day to end - much less the entire trip - Artemis eventually comes to acknowledge that, sometimes, what you need can come from the most unexpected of places. The fairytale element in this book is a magic object which you will soon learn. Here is the intro: This story begins on the first day of summer, in a small town called Winter Falls. A beautiful and careless sixteen year old girl, with long brown hair that's always pulled back into a sporty ponytail, has something dangerous fall into her hands and she doesn't even know. Fortunately, she isn't alone. A tall and smart sixteen year old boy with blond hair and a sweatshirt is there to help her.

Dylyn: Werewolves versus vampires. That is natural. But what happens when you're stuck in a safe house and your dorm roommate is a girl?! And now you have to go on a mission with this girl. And you somehow fall in love WITH THIS GIRL? And then you get married with... Oh wait, that can't happen! HA HA, why would I even think about that. I mean, I'm only 17. And I'm a vampire... The life of a vampire is very different though... Ash: My life is really weird. I mean REALLY weird. Having a hot guy as your dorm room partner isn't so bad, until you start to fall in love with him. And finding out your part of a prophecy... not something that happens to everybody. Then, realizing that you have an affinity for fire. Plus having lots of drama between your friends isn't fun either, but that happens to every teenage girl. But then you find out your mother is an evil maniac who became a werewolf after all this happens. And being kidnapped is NOT fun!!! So, yeah...weird.

The only person who could save her, was herself. Happily ever afters weren't meant for her world.
