[Prologue: The White Page]
Rico woke up to the smell of lavender and the harsh, unforgiving clarity of the morning sun.
The first thing she felt was not a memory, but the cold texture of a leather-bound notebook resting on her nightstand.
On the cover, a small sticker read: "Read this first. This is your life."
She opened it. Page after page of her own handwriting greeted her-dates, times, sketches of people she felt like she should know.
Then, her eyes fell on a note written in red ink at the bottom of the last page.
"There is a boy named Tomoya. He is your boyfriend. He will meet you at the park at 4 PM. Trust him. He makes the world feel bright."
Rico touched the ink. It was dry. Her heart gave a small, inexplicable flutter, even though she had no idea what Tomoya's face looked like.
