*PREVIEW ONLY* Available on Kindle and Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GCPX775Y PAUL I cheated on my fiancée. Sophie and I were building our future. In love, happy, peaceful. Then she found a lump in her breast, and I made the worst choice: I numbed my fear by sleeping with someone else. My worst mistake and my biggest regret. Now I see Sophie around town with him. She's radiant and laughing with people who actually show up. I'm trying to learn how to be a man who does. If she lets me, I'll spend the rest of my life proving I can choose her when it's hardest. If she lets me... SOPHIE I thought the promise was in sickness and in health. But he buried his fear in someone else. On the same night, I walked into a bookstore and met the gentle giant owner, who invited me to his book club full of misfits. I'm laughing again, I'm smiling more than I ever have, and I'm healing my heart. My bookstore owner keeps showing up like it's as easy as breathing. I don't know what the future holds; I don't know if I'll win this battle against cancer, but I do know I'm done wasting time on people who love only when it's easy. CALLUM She came into Rivers & Rhodes Bookstore and asked for books with happy endings only. I gave her a recommendation, an invitation, and an offer of friendship. Now, this beautiful, brave woman is completely under my skin. I'm not here to win a competition against him. I'm here because choosing someone, second by second, is the only way I understand love.

These are poems that were actually lyrics from my "I'm gonna be a famous musician one day" phase when I was in middle school and high school. I call them poetry now, though. This is an anthology of lyrics from high school (2006-2010). I went through a phase of wanting to become a musician, something I inevitably grew out of. Many love songs were written during that time, but a few aren't.

In the 23rd century, humanity might no longer be alone in the dark forest of the cosmos-but knowledge comes at a cost. Captain Aric Cole and his crew aboard the Odyssera explore anomalies at the edge of known space, where the line between science and the unknown blurs. The Odyssera is an individually-owned vessel-not a government or corporate project-but a ship for outcasts and dreamers seeking proof of their worth and purpose, a chance to explore with goodwill, and an anchor in the vast, unforgiving universe. From rogue satellites hiding secrets older than Earth itself, to AI questioning the nature of its own soul, and microorganisms defying the laws of life, every mission challenges not only their skills-but their understanding of reality. As the crew navigates quantum tech, interstellar threats, and mysterious signals that may be cosmic coincidences-or alien contact-Aric must balance leadership, friendship, and survival, while questioning what it truly means to be alive in a universe that may not care. Moderate-paced, high-stakes, and filled with thought-provoking tech, philosophy, and societal questions, this story is perfect for fans of hard-ish sci-fi with a human touch.

NOTE: This book is full of shorts stories and I hope you find them amusing as Wings of Fire is itself. Under the eyes of courageous couple: Queen Glory and her royal bodyguard, Deathbringer: the dragonets of destiny finally have the fun they've wanted their entire life. Queen Glory and Deathbringer are still living in the rainforest at this time. She is still in touch with her friends, heart-warming Clay, impulsive Tsunami, intelligent Starflight and faithful Sunny. Glory's kingdom is prideful and full of dragons who care. Deathbringer, however is the bodyguard and one of the most trusted advisors to her majesty- and still lives under the role as an assassin. He loves his home and everyone he knows and supports and he will never stop believing in the price of his home, Pyrrhia. Together they run into multiple situations and adventures and make living memories! Credit to Author Of Wings of Fire, Tui T. Sutherland for the characters and setting of this story 😁

In the shadows of a bustling city, a little girl's life is a testament to the cruelty and indifference of those who walk past her. With no one to rely on but herself, she must navigate a world that is filled with peril and heartbreak, where the kindness of strangers is as rare as a ray of sunshine in a storm. But in the midst of the darkness, she finds a glimmer of hope and determination, fueled by the strength of her own will. This is the story of a forgotten child, whose life on the streets is a reflection of the brokenness and injustice that lurks beneath the surface of a city that never sleeps.

"All I want is blackness, blackness and silence." - Sylvia Plath Until we have seen someone's darkness we don't really know who they are. Until we have forgiven someone's darkness, we don't really know what love is. Such is the case for Carson Phillips; an average guy with well pronounced and slightly off-centered best friends. But unlike others, Carson holds a terrible tragedy... he has been shrouded in the inevitability of eternal blindness. He knows he's not like the others - that he cannot admire or see the beauty in life that had been bestowed on many of the undeserving. He knows that no matter what, he'll always live his life hearing the guilt and the mantra "I'm so sorry sir," from the people who could never understand how screwed up his reality ever was. And then he met her and he was done for. Because for once, he was sorry. So sorry that he could never see her face, especially her smile even though he could hear it. And he hoped to god that no one else would have her.

Winter is as beautiful as it is cold. Dangerous and inconvenient, it's easy for us to overlook this marvel to behold. The season of death is yet a light in the dark, if seen with open eyes. [Old poem with many flaws. Preserved as is for personal future reference.] Full poem + Author's Notes.
