Optimist Stories

In which there is a debate between an optimist and a pessimist. If you don't know what either means, don't be embarrassed. An optimist always thinks that the world is full of hope. The pessimist will just shake his head and say, "Nope". So do you think it's right to believe everything is great every day? Or see that everything is more worse than the next in every single way? I'm not preaching that keeping hopes and believing that it's all for the good, is wrong. I'm just saying I am tired, But still holding on.

Well if you attend Sun Hills High School, they probably are, for these are a few phrases from optimist Jacob Perez, SHHS's most popular student that everyone relies on for the best advice. With his charm and charisma, Jacob's antics never fail to impress. However, one girl happens snag Jacob's attention. With her head down in a different book every day, Jacob notices the distance she keeps from the other students. To him, she's unhappy and of course Jacob doesn't let that slip past him. However, what Jacob fails to realize is that, to her, it's absolute paradise being by herself and away from the drama. Can Jacob, just maybe, get a smile out of her? Rawry Pole is a man with the stutter. His life is a series of fortunate and unfortunate events like sitting on a train track, getting hit by a train, always healing slowly and never dying, waiting for the next one. But one day, the trains stop coming. Instead, little ones come.

Lilli Evans is too grumpy, too stupid, too pathetic, or so she thinks. Hunter Boyle is too. . . . well, perfect. While Lilli is trying her best to hold herself and her family together, Hunter is having fun, making friends, doing what teenagers are supposed to do. What happens when they end up being next door neighbours? What happens when Lilli unconsciously tells Hunter everything? Will he ignore it, pretend it never happened, or will he decide to do something about it? It's one pessimist and one optimist against the world. The world is a movie, where nothing is ever real. Our eyes act as filters, only seeing what we desire. Our hearts are warped, selfish monsters that eat away at you. We are a plague to the world, yet we rebel. We continue to live and try to improve ourselves. Perhaps that is why the world is a movie; to document the growth of a monster. To see whether the caterpillar will choose to transcend into a butterfly. However, what our eyes often neglect to see and our minds neglect to notice is the suffering that the caterpillar endures to transcend into a butterfly.

Almost everyone knows the story of Pandora, a women who received gifts from the gods and released evil to the world and the only one she was able to keep in her jar was HOPE. Almost no one know the story of HOPE, a girl who used to believe that she opened her own Pandora's Box, and death and destruction seemed to follow her everywhere. Meet a girl, who never lost her HOPE. Attention! Story based on a true events. Pretty much all of it happened, only some fictional details added to give the story smoother line. All the names and places were changed. While it is a true story anmd pretty much all what happened is kind of depressing I warn you that it is not a cute love story, but a cruel truth. Jayden Dee and Nova Williams apart one's mean, cranky, rude and just plain doesn't care. The others sarcastic, sweet, optimist but never feels complete. Together Jayden starts to care about his grades, how he treats others but above all he cares about Nova. Everyday Nova spends with Jayden she starts to feel that empty hole in her fill up. What starts at friends turns into best friends, everyone around them notices how much they change each other. Everything seems great until Jayden makes a mistake one that could ruin Nova and one Jayden can't take back.

I am a pessimist and already you're trying to tell me that the world isn't cruel.
