L'estate 2016 è alle porte e i primi segni sono già visibili ai cittadini di Marsell: il sole cocente, il cielo limpido, il mare azzurro e il vento caldo invadono le vie della città entrando da ogni spiraglio possibile in tutti gli edifici. Gli studenti sono tutti in subbuglio, pronti a lasciare l'ambiente scolastico, mettersi il costume e gettarsi in spiaggia. Tutti tranne Ginny. Infatti, oltre a mancare poche settimane all'ufficiale inizio dell'estate, ne mancano altrettante anche all'inizio degli esami di maturità. E' questione di pochi giorni ormai, dopo sarà finalmente libera di gettarsi nelle fresche acque del Mediterraneo, rilassandosi con le sue amiche e sentendo la pelle bruciare sotto i raggi caldi del sole. Ma quando un venerdì sera decide di concedersi una pausa e andare a ballare, tutto il suo mondo viene sconvolto e ribaltato. E' colpa dei baci di Aaron, delle sue mani che scottano di desiderio sul corpo di Ginny e dell'attrazione fatale che si scatena fra i due amici. Niente sarà più come prima fra di loro.
