Transfer student from South Korea, with an American father and Korean mother. He moves to America with the intention of just getting the next two years of high school over with, with the support of his friend Dennis who is the only person he knows in the new city. He plans to move back to South Korea for college, knowing all his friends and childhood memories lie there. Things start to change when a girl named Layyah shows him around his new school. Over time he can't help but rethink he's decision on moving back. Layyah comes to realize how she settled for things being 'okay' instead of it being worth it. She's been alive, just not living.
