    This story is written by Oscar Wilde. At some point in our life, we realise that nature soothes us and shares our pains. Does nature help us when we are in trouble or in need? Read a story about how nature helps man in times of need.. So, like many fairy tales, we can say with confidence that 'The Nightingale and the Rose' is 'about love', or even, 'about true love'. I don't own the story. I don't own the images.. I just edited the cover. I don't have any intention to copy the original authors work.Please read the 'note'. Please don't report. #55-nature{out of 25.5K stories} #173-young{out of 29.8K stories} #70-onesidedlove{out of 7.51K stories} #341-english{out of 33.8K stories} #302-shortchapters{out of 28.3K stories} #419-truelove{out of 26.4K stories} #2-oscarwilde{out of 115stories} #6-redrose{out of 126 stories}

    Oscar Wilde and his work is something you simply have to experience for yourself. One of his works is the 'The Picture of Dorian Gray'. It is about the innocent young man called Dorian, who after meeting Lord Henry Wotton begins to desire eternal youth and beauty. Even before the meeting, Dorian is naturally charming, but his soul unknowingly begins to change under Henry's influence. We can see how his soul gradually withers in his portrait. The portrait was painted by the painter Basil Hallward, Dorian's long time close friend who also secretly loved him from the beginning. The book ends tragically. I like to live in my delusions, so I decided to write my own ending and forget about the gut wrenching damage the original caused me. If you like tragic little gay men, this one is for you love.

    Oscar Wilde went to jail in 1895 for engaging in romantic relationships with another man. His literary pieces of work are also limited due to the lack of freedom of speech during the 19th century, widespread homphobia and lack of audience. 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' is a clear example of Oscar Wilde being limited because of societal pressures. Us being in the 21st century, we can easily pick up on the subtle hints of homosexuality in this book. However, it could not be fully explored. This book, 'The Ethereal Beauty of Dorian Gray' is a queer twist to the original story. My story is not authentic and some characters may seem different compared to the original text. If you are triggered by homosexuality, I highly recommend not to read this book.

    Third story from my "Placebo-cycle". It tells of love and tragedy, mystery and memory...Don't try to search for any moral of this story, or for any rational reason of this tragedy. It's just a life - or, probably, - a way some people think of life. Also, it is a story about the same-sex relationships and difficulties the gay people and their adopted children face in our society. And, in the end, you understand that gays are not so queer as people think of them- per se, we all are the same. Finally, you can find there something from Oscar Wilde. Why not? Man love and mystics are related to him as nothing else.

    Oscar Fingal O'Flahertie Wills Wilde (16 October 1854 - 30 November 1900) was an Irish poet and playwright. After writing in different forms throughout the 1880s, he became one of London's most popular playwrights in the early 1890s. He is best remembered for his epigrams and plays, his novel The Picture of Dorian Gray, as well as the circumstances of his imprisonment and early death. A/N (not mine!)

    The Picture of Dorian Gray is a novel that transcends time and space. It also broke our hearts along the way. What if Dorian could have been able to love someone other than himself? If the portrait had not been finished? If Harry wasn't able to influence Dorian's rose-white boyhood? Would Dorian, Basil, and Harry find love? In this AU, there's a chance for everything. Is gays get a chance at happiness. Dorian Gray's name is changed to Dorian Bi because Dorian is bisexual as hell.

    Brown pages that smell like history, glowing eyes and spicy adventure. That feeling one gets after a long run, the release of energy and an ease of release. The taste of white wine and a cat hair stuck to one's tongue. Flowing dresses and hair in breeze. The wind at the tops of green hills, high speed scenery flashing past your car and that noticable smile. This is a dark story for dark minds.
