That perfect steel-gray, once steady and relentless, had become glassy, reflecting light in a way that wasn't human. Then Clark stopped visiting during the day. Diana's smile grew sharper, crueler. The Flash's voice carried an undertone like the hiss of wings in the dark. It spread fast. Too fast. The Justice League fell, then the Bats. Except him.
