START HERE for Preview Book 1 of Earth's Crust Survival (Bks 1-9 of more than 20+ so far) in the Otherborn series novellas. This short four chapter intro, The Mag, will give you the flavour of our multi-genre dystopian, fantasy/sci-fi adventure mix-up! Earth's crust is breaking up. In the aftermath of a seismic shift, Maddie and her little brother Fin fend for themselves. Alone. They are led to a hidden people called the Mym, subjects of a government experiment that has spiraled out of control. Maddie learns the secretive beings could hold answers to why the planet is crumbling. But most importantly, she must protect Fin from this angry new world and, worse, the violent gangs who roam its smoking ruins.

Aided by the canine companion of a visiting boy, she must learn about the habits of humans and how not to be eaten by an arrogant lizard, while she tries to make the boy, Roland, see she is there; and have him help her get back to a place that she might not even belong anymore. ≈ A Fae Perspective short story for younger readers. [DRAFTING] Haponethra, king dragon in Meath, on a 1000-year mission to find redeeming qualities that might change the need to call Dracon from the sea (and prevent a scorching of earth in the next Cleansing) unintentionally finds himself drawn much too far into friendships with local implings and elves. [ONE SHOT] A WezWorld Western! A COMPLETELY FICTITIOUS Short Story in one chapter based on the historic records around the escapades of The Wild McLean Gang of the Canadian West in the mid 1800's. This story began as a temporary 2K word post from my scene-writing class, but now it's staying here as a one chapter link over to what has now become my new Weztern profile, where one day soon you will be able to read its extended short story -- a more complete accounting of what this chapter reveals. We may already have 90% of what we thought that we wanted. We may just have forgotten a few ingredients along the route that could change our dynamics entirely. [EDITING] Kreelah's Aunt Hettie, a magistrate from their former cob village, vanished one day, kidnapped and held deep in the bog by the creatures of Bogh. There she finds giving up her activist role, with all that she knows of the past and the future, might just be a task she's simply not up to-especially when her goddaughter / niece, Kreelah, whom she loves very much, is threatened and can no longer hear, in fact cannot even see her. Hettie's now determinedly bound to find her way out of the swamp or at least to get through with some kind of a warning, before Kreelah too winds up where she is!
