you lived in the future and you loved reading about history you even took history in college but what you didn't know is that your father could do time travel which is understandable because you only saw your father when you were only five but he returned when you turned twelve but when he came home he wanted a divorce with your mother the reason was because he found another woman and he loved her with all his heart. you hated your father when he took you away from your mother,he was gone for seven years and all of a sudden he takes you away from your mother. but you grew up with your father and you grew closer so when you turned twenty three so it was the perfect time for him to tell you where he has been for all those years and when he told you you couldn't believe your ears and you didn't believe him but he decided to show you and when he did he showed you four huge rocks and told you if you hold gemstones you can go into the past but only one past and that is the 17th and 18th century. so what happens when you and your father travels into the past and he shows you the wife he's been in love with for years but what you didn't know is that she was your real mother, because your mother couldn't get a child and your real mother didn't want you to grow up in this world so she demanded that he left with you and when he brought you to your other mother and she took your in but she asked for him to stay to raise you till you were five which he did and then he went back to your real mother,you also found out that she was Scottish and you also have her spirit,but what happens when loose your parents and you are forced to marry a colonel. will you fall for him?or hate him? (none of this happened this is all fiction so is the characters,this story is also inspired of off Outlander)

This short essay (or whatever you want to call it) tries to cover and explain the full background story of the book series/Netflix show "Outlander" from a historical point of view. It only gives a short, detailed enough overview of the historic events which led to the Battle of Culloden and the battle itself. As I am not a native speaker, there might be some spelling and grammar mistakes.
