_________________________ This is just a collection of various short stories I've written for college assignments (usually for my humanities class). The common factor in all of these stories is that I was supposed to write from the perspective of anybody BUT the protagonist. Additionally, to fully understand each of these stories, you might need to refer to the source material they were derived from. These were originally class assignments, so you might not have the prior knowledge my classmates and I did before working on them. Please understand that a lot of the content in this may seem old-fashioned. That's because it is. I was supposed to write from these characters' perspectives, so I've tried to emulate what I believed their minds might look like based on cultural context. I will try to leave the region and time period of the story's setting in an author's note at the top of each chapter, but if you get confused or if I missed something, just let me know (politely, of course). Chapters will be labeled in the following format: "Short Story Title - Source Material Title" I have no reason to post this other than I just want to put it somewhere that's easy to come back to (my mom asks me to read my stories to her all the time). I only own the plot of this sequel, but the characters, setting and time period were all Hinton's idea.

Rustic and red combined making some unknown source valid for only a short while. Fumes enveloping every little detail and spectacle of air surrounded it with only a gleam in its upper right corner. Nothing to do but to hold on; the grasp breaks and you're falling down, down, down. Then what? Scream like its the end of the world? Or make due with what you have? Nothing but a glimpse. A short reality of what could happen and what is. The beginning of the beginning. Some say "beginning of the end." But the end can't be that real can it? One thing given to you only to be taken away the very next second? That's not very realistic. It's like begging on your knee's for money's worth to feed your family and as soon as you get the money, its taken right back out of your hand only to be given to pay the night's rent. Hunger, starvation, reality. Dying beneath the devils grip in a confined space big enough for you to barely lie down in. Hunger, starvation, reality, is death.

Alexandria is as close to the world Before as they're going to get. But that's not so great for everyone. Daryl's feeling more and more like an outsider with the people he's called family for two years now so he goes to the only other place in Alexandria he actually feels sort of comfortable: Aaron and Eric's house. She froze in terror. Her mind and eyes were alert for anything. She held up a bow and arrow, waiting for the attack. She turned to run the opposite direction... and the next thing she knew, she was bleeding. The pain was growing stronger as her body became more weak. She was fearless, but she never knew that dying could be a fear she would attain.

Ryler was always the outsider. Never had many friends, and was always considered the 'black sheep' of the pack. Her mate rejected her, and she went with it. She learned to conceal emotions, for expressing them complicated life. She kept an emotionless facade, even though her insides were begging for some release. But what if... One wish.. Could change all of that?
