While writing to her pen pal her entire life, Evie Paxton has faced a great loss that has changed the way she views her life. After moving for a change of scenery, she discovers her anonymous pen pal has been living in the neighborhood she now calls her own. Trying to cope with the loss while discovering who her unknown childhood friend really is, Evie learns what its like to be really and truly happy.

Clara doesn't have much interest in a lot, with the exception of her favorite book series of all time, The Spirit Chronicles. She doesn't see a point in mingling outside the fantastical world of Inythia, for a number of things, especially especially dating. Why should she bother when she's just never going to find a human boy that compares to the valiant Spirit Guard, Casper Pendragon? But when Clara's best friend enters her name in their schools annual Pen Pal Program for Valentine's Day, she receives a letter (Or two??) from someone anonymous...
