After the events of the Grove Temple, Arlo should be recovering. Instead, they're forcing themself through daily life while hiding worsening injuries from nearly dying to stop the Gardener from resetting Einar. Einar remembers them. Mostly. But fragments of corrupted memory and the terror of almost losing his continuity leave the Galdur changed in ways neither of them know how to handle. Quietly terrified of forgetting Arlo - or losing them entirely - Einar begins clinging to the one constant he still trusts. Meanwhile, Kilima keeps moving as if nothing happened. Fishing trips continue. Research still needs doing. Quests pile up. Life goes on. And somewhere beneath all of it, both of them are trying to survive what almost happened in the temple.

Although the humans may not remember their past, they remain intelligent, social creatures. Can Sardonyx find true acceptance in this society? It will all depend on the relationships she chooses to invest in.

Riu is the only human among the Majiri. Despite many challenges and being lonely due to being the only human, she makes new friends and a home among the Majiri even if they're not human and learn their ways.

This novel was inspired by my love for Palian lore. As you read, feel free to get immersed into the lands before modern day Palia. You might notice some easter eggs hidden within the lands of Windengales. In this novel you will find a combination of thrill, sad, adventurous, and enticing drama while following alongside the human explorer, Akharia. I have spent a CSI level amount of hours researching and playing to find lore that makes the best sense to me. While I plan later on to incorporate lore into other series, this I feel is what would explain pre- Palia. So sit back, relax, and enjoy some lore with a fun sci-fi fiction storyline twist!
