Alyssa Lawrence was starting her first year at Rhode Island School of Design, and boy, is she nervous. Alyssa is not, what you would say, a speaker. Not in front of a crowd, on video, or even just to the average person. Well, not since her twin sister, Maria, passed away 6 years ago. A quiet girl, going into a huge college is not a very good mix. But as soo as she gets there, she learns to confide in her talkative roommate, Sarah, who has a habit of going to far into peoples business. But in all fairness, it got Alyssa out of her shell for awhile.
Alyssa was enjoying being the student the teacher asked to help for demonstrations, or praised for her work. She was indeed an amazing artist. She was an average college freshman, working out everyday to avoid the freshman 15.
One day after a run, she meets the amazingly handsome, and adorably quiet Michael Rivers. They don't talk, but they do have understanding through eye contact. One day he pulls her aside. They talk and talk, learn about each other, and get comfortable being themselves. They keep their friendship a secret, for the attentions sake. But when a nosey roommate comes in at the very worst time, they no longer can keep anything from Sarah. As Alyssa and Michael's relationship grows, they blossom into an adorable couple, yet no one knows.
When pictures and videos are leaked of them kissing or touching in an intimate way- just when they thought they were alone-, of course by his evil ex girlfriend, begging for his attention, all hell breaks loose.
Through the mess, and some even bigger problems, will Alyssa learn to trust Michael, and not believe everything she sees? Or will the problems become too much to handle?
Everything is not what it seems.
