The year is August 1985; 16 year old Noah Kilstery has recently moved house, into a small, quiet but peaceful town called Westbrooke; in Pennsylvania. He hasn't been able to get into a school yet, however, as they are all atleast a 40 minute walk out of his town. Noah has alot of freedom as he is moving into his house, his family settles well; into a nice, single story house with a beautiful garden. The neighbours are a nice old couple, who welcome them into the town with a homemade pie. The only other teenagers in the town are a bunch of lost causes who usually spend all nighters or explore abandoned places. One night, Noah awakes with a nightmare. He gets up quickly, and just stares out the window as he realizes it was just a nightmare. But, somethings not right. A lamp was laid in the middle of the road, turned on. A few weeks pass: and the people in the neighbourhood report many mysterious cases, and the other teenagers in the town apparently haven't came out of their rooms since August 15th. Days begin to fly by; and more and more cases are reported. Until one day, someone new moves into the town, a young girl who looks as young as Noah. She seems like she knows something, however.

A girl from a small town in Pennsylvania is struggling to grasp the full meaning of new adulthood. She struggles with the new dealing of a child and faced many challenges becoming a mother.

But even though we avoided each other on a daily basis, we watch each other, like we need to know that the other is safe at all times. Sometimes I'd just glance at her and find her blue eyes drilling a hole in my head. Of course, she'd look away every time I catch her, but we both know what we are doing. It's not like I don't stare at her, we both know what we are doing, but we don't stop. However we're doing this... 'Do I secretly like it?'
